Active Campaign Quick Rundown
About: | One of the most popular email autoresponder and CRM software platforms |
Price: | Lite plans start at $9 per month |
Pros: | Great with automation rules and reliable delivery. |
Cons: | This is not the best solution for affiliate marketers. |
UPDATE: As of March 15, 2023 Active Campaign decided to change their pricing structure upping some of their legacy plans by 40%
The way this price increase was handled should be in a book on "what not to do."
In addition, the deliverability was not what it once was and support hasn't been great either. From our perspective, it seems Active Campaign added a lot of functions and missed out on the opportunity at being great at what it once was: automations and delivery.
Therefore, we are no longer using Active Campaign.
Great concept and at one point a great software company, however we are no longer using Active Campaign.
It's no longer an option - you've not only got to have an email marketing campaign but you need one that's reliable and will help free up your world moving your prospects into leads and sales.
That's where Active Campaign comes into play.
What is ActiveCampaign?
It's an email marketing platform that we've highlighted before with our best email service providers guide here that helps your subscribers get the content and only deliver the emails they actually want.
Using their Drag and Drop editor inside the automations panel makes setting up complex email sequences as breeze.
We'll touch on that a little later inside this review.
Who Is Active Campaign Designed For?
ActiveCampaign can be used for any of the following:
Just about any form of digital marketing is good with ActiveCampaign except for one.
Affiliate Marketing is against ActiveCampaign's terms.
However, we never mail directly to an offer with Active Campaign so it's never been a problem.
Instead, we'll send to a bridge page that's typically me reviewing a software or a demo or teaching a concept with a call to action.
In my experience, as long as you go that route, you'll stay out of harms way with Active Campaign.
With that being said, let's dig into some of the sought out features of using Active Campaign.
Pros
Cons
Automations
This, in my opinion, is Active Campaign's bread and butter.
It's what separates them from some of the other platforms on the market because it's so easy to create full blown campaigns that span over a few days to a few months.
It's literally drag and drop.
Not to mention, it gives you the ability to be...
FREE.
Freedom in your business knowing the right messages are going to the right people at the right time.
As you can see in the image above, there are numerous automations to pick from out of the box that you can integrate inside your email campaigns.
These built in automations can be edited to your liking or as always you can start from scratch.
Here are a list of some of the most popular automations.
Can Active Campaign be used as a CRM?
Yes.
