Google Updates Page Rank

So Google just updated their Page Rank – this is the first Page Rank update in 8 months as many speculate that Page Rank is fading for one of the factors when it comes to Search Engine Optimization.

The update was a bit of a surprise since Google’s own Matt Cutts claimed on October 6 on Twitter – “I would be surprised if that happened” this was in response to someone asking him if we should expect an update before 2014.

Imagine that – right?

Here’s a video of Matt explaining why PageRank isn’t changing…

In my own experimentation, I’m seeing PR is just as important as it ever has been.

Yes, there’s other factors to follow along with, however this is still one of the drivers for getting top ranking.

I recently shared a training on some of the software that’s helping me to get some of these high authority links to help my rankings.

I’d love to hear your thoughts.
